Mr. Peter Vesterbacka is famous for being the Mighty Eagle from Angry Birds. Branded communities co-created and initiated by Peter include the HP Bazaar, Mobile Monday, Slush and Startup Sauna to name a few. He was the Mighty Eagle at Angry Birds for many years taking that brand to unprecedented heights. In 2011 Time Magazine named Peter one of the 100 most influential people on the planet.

 

 

 

Aleksi Kopponen is a Special Advisor of Digitalization at Ministry of Finance in Finland, pioneering human-centric governance and cross-sectoral service ecosystem operating models in action.

Aleksi’s responsibilities have included preparation and implementation of the principles of digitalization, implementation of The Playbook of Digitalization, and supervision of the digitalization supporting team D9 in State Treasury. Aleksi has also supported the preparation of the Government projects for digitalization of processes, in total of 100 M€ in between years 2015 and 2016.

The Finnish Government has decided to introduce a new approach to strengthen customer-centric management, digitalization and creation and development of ecosystems. In this new operational model, smart services are organized around people's life events and business events in cross-sectoral cooperation. Aleksi has had the main responsibility for preparation and implementation of this new approach.

Since people and communities need different services at different times, Finland has introduced AuroraAI, an artificial intelligence network where information and service needs move between different smart applications in a cross-sectoral manner. AuroraAI will serve in all life events and business events, regardless of the time in a uniform and ethical way.

Timo Haanpää is a high tech marketer and a funding and company-building expert. Co-founder of Curious AI, and a serial entrepreneur active in half a dozen software companies, he's worked in big and small software companies for 20 years. A departure from a typical marketdroid, he has also e.g. designed (and financed) novel deep learning HPC systems.

 

 

 

Joonas Terhivuo was recently appointed the CEO of Hetzner Finland after working with the company since August 2017. During his first two years the park’s three first data centers have become operational. In addition to dedicated and cloud servers, the park also hosts a colocation data center. More data center units will be build and taken into use in coming years.

Joonas’ data center path started in 2012 at Enkom Active, where his areas of responsibilities covered sales, consulting and project management. Before that he worked at Maxisat and Appelsiini in various IT tasks. Now at Hetzner Finland he can fully take use of his prior experience in both data center business and computer technology.

The companies within the Hetzner Group provide private and business clients with high-performance hosting products as well as the necessary infrastructure for the efficient operation of websites. Hetzner Finland Oy em-ploys in its operations the expertise of Hetzner Online GmbH in Germany. The Data Center Park Helsinki and its data solutions serve Hetzner clients worldwide.

Jarno Limnéll is the Professor of Cyber Security at the Finnish Aalto University, and an Adjunct Professor at three other universities. Jarno Limnéll is the Chief Executive Officer at Tosibox Oy. By education he is a Doctor of Military Science, Master of Political Science and Officer. He has been working with security issues for more than 20 years, and he has written numerous books and scientific papers. Jarno Limnéll is a well-known expert and a sought-after speaker both in Finland and internationally, thanks to his way of explaining even complicated matters in a simple and understandable way.

Sami Holopainen is Managing Director of Equinix Finland. He was appointed as General Manager of TelecityGroup Finland in early 2015, which was acquired by Equinix in January of 2016. Prior to this, Sami was the founding partner and CEO of Tenue Oy for six years, from 2006 through to its acquisition by TelecityGroup in 2012.

Sami has over 20 years' experience in ISP and data center businesses. He is known as an industry leader in the market, having been instrumental in a firm that was one of the first movers in managed data center services in Finland. Since 2012 Sami has been successfully growing Equinix's presence in Finland, connecting Western European markets to Russia, the Baltic region and Asia.

Sami holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems from the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences, Finland.

 

 

James Rix is an Associate Director and Project Manager with Arcadis UK, working with the Manufacturing and Technology data centre practice. He has worked in the data centre industry, starting in South East Asia, since 2007. He has been leading multi-national teams delivering data centre new builds, fit-outs and migration activities along with IT infrastructure solutions in 14 different countries over 3 continents. Since 2007 he has worked in co-location, enterprise and hyperscale facilities as well as spending time establishing and running a Project Management Office for predictive data analytic solutions. Throughout this time he has been a regular speaker at data center conferences and author of thought leadership articles in the data centre press.

 

 

 

 

Isabelle Kemlin, works as Business Unit Director in the Nordics for CBRE Data Centre Solutions, the data center life cycle services group of the world’s largest commercial real estate services and investment firm. Isabelle Kemlin brings nearly 20 years of experience spanning key business functions including sales, marketing, business development, organizational development and management to the role.

An internal appointment, Kemlin was previously global alliance director for CBRE’s Ericsson account, looking after IFM delivery in more than 20 countries across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She joined CBRE from Veolia where she was a key account executive and regional director, looking after around 200 technicians for the French transnational utility company. She also has experience from managing technical services within different critical environments e.g. the mining industry.

 

 

 

Simon Allen is Executive Director of the Infrastructure Masons (iM) which is a global non-profit, professional association guided by an Advisory Council of industry leaders responsible for the largest and most advanced digital infrastructure portfolios in the world.

iM is where industry leaders and great minds meet, leaving their companies at the door, to solve the complex problems and challenges that lie ahead as our industry continues to grow and evolve. The current priority of iM is to Bridge the Talent Gap (by Promoting Awareness, EDU & Scholarships and addressing Diversity).

Simon is also a co-founder and Director of Data Center Incident Reporting Network (DCiRN) A non-profit initiative aimed at making Data Centers safer and more reliable by anonymously sharing information on incidents.

 

 

Eero Lindqvist is Senior Manager of Datacenter Business at Telia Finland. He has over 30 year experience of IT business both from the customer and supplier side including hardware, software and IT-services. In the last years he has been extensively involved in Telia Helsinki Data Center project mostly from the business perspective, but also participating some technology selections, energy efficiency and sustainability matters.

 

 

Antti Laine has a passion for sustainability and saving the planet. With a decade in material science and teaching and a decade in industrial construction he has always spent a lot of energy in developing methods to do things better than before and in a more sustainable fashion.

Always motivated to study new things and build networks across the globe to discuss initiatives and ideas to make this world more sustainable. Besides his dayjobs as a EHS inspector and Data Center consultant he is working on his pH.D. project at the University of Lappeenranta regarding Data Center Sustainability and Data Center lifecycle. 

Reidar Wasenius

Executive Director at Soprano Plc

World-class communicator with 15+ years of experience in international new business development, 25+ years in media, 30+ years in education and training and 35+ years in public performance professionally on stage.

As the Managing Director of FiBAN, Wasenius did aim to ensure that cooperation is strengthened within Finland and internationally: "Besides working towards common goals within Finland, it's important for us to develop our international collaboration. It’s rewarding to see how FiBAN is investing in cooperation in the Nordics and Europe." In the beginning of August Wasenius started a new position as an Executive Director at Soprano Plc.

He is an experienced instructor of communications, media, digital media, and mobile communications. Reidar has worked in various parts of the world for companies such as Nokia, Samsung, Telecom Finland / Sonera, TEKES, Digital Equipment Corporation, as well as a number of domestic media houses. Reidar is also a skilled host and moderator especially for business events and seminars. His English, Finnish and Swedish are fluent and he has limited working proficiency in German, French, Italian and Spanish. Other languages he has elementary proficiency on are Dutch, Japanese, Russian and Latin.
